Troubleshoot Declined Payments
If your card is declined, follow the steps to troubleshoot:
1. Confirm your credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and phone number were entered correctly in your account.
Note: The billing address and phone number entered in your account must match billing info of your credit card.
2. Check with your bank if thre is daily withdrawal or purchase limit.
If your payment has been declined, check if:
"Your card is expired or out of date" - if the card you have on file doesn't have your current billing address or is expired it will be declined. You can update your card's expiration and/or your billing address from your PayPal account.
"You need to confirm your card"- Card may need to go through a confirmation process.
"Your credit card company or bank has more information"- if the above steps don't solve the issue, you can contact your credit card company or bank to identify the problem.
If your payment won't process with your bank account or you are still having problems with your card, try following:
Change to another payment method at checkout.
Confirm if your recipient's email address or phone number is entered correctly.
